Surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome

In some situations the major blood vessels that arise from the heart supplying the Upper limbs are obstructed during their passage from the root of the neck to the limbs by structural / skeletal abnormalities. The obstructive elements could be a fibrous band or an extra rib called the “Cervical rib”. The nerves of the Upper limbs may be involved in this disease.
A minimally invasive operation to free these nerves and arteries can permanently cure this disease.
